The Arús Library is a research centre which specialises in contemporary social movements, mainly those of a labour and masonic nature, and documentation collections from the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.Founded in 1895 as a donation from Rossend Arús, it was situated in the home where he lived. Inside you can observe Arús’ old home, presided over by a replica of New York’s Statue of Liberty, and adapted to accommodate the library with its reading rooms.The collection currently contains more than 80,000 volumes of books, serial publications, manuscripts, cartography, scores, microfilms and electronic resources, making it a place of reference for students and researchers interested in culture, history and society.
